She is Coordinator of the M.A in Conference Interpreting and also principal lecturer of the same course.
Susan obtained a B.A International in Irish and French from The National University of Ireland, Galway followed by an M.A in Modern Irish. She then obtained a European Masters in Conference Interpreting from the University of Westminster in London.
This means Susan is among an elite group of professional interpreters with Irish and she is employed regularly by the European Parliament and various other E.U institutions as a Conference Interpreter.
She is especially interested in the spoken language and the workings of the Irish Summer Colleges (Coláistí Samhraidh). Susan was previously employed as Development Officer for CONCOS (Comhchoiste na gColáistí Samhraidh) and as a guest lecturer on on the M.A in Translation Studies course run by Acadamh na hOllscolaíochta Gaeilge.
