Biography

Michael Lang has been a lecturer in information systems at NUI, Galway since 1996, having previously worked for a number of years in industry as an analyst/programmer. His primary research interest is information systems development, particularly methods, approaches, tools and techniques for business systems analysis & design. Through past employment and ongoing research and consultancy, he has been involved with quite a number of systems development projects, both with small indigenous firms and large multi-national organisations.

His research has been published in a number of well-regarded periodicals, including IEEE Multimedia, IEEE Software, Information & Software Technology, Requirements Engineering, Information Systems Management, and Communications of the AIS, and he has presented at many international workshops and conferences. Copies of papers are available upon request, and he would also be interested in collaborating with others who have similar teaching and/or research interests.
