Breaking The SEAL

The Breaking the SEAL Programme is an NUIG initiative led by Dr. Paul Flynn & Mr. Barry Houlihan.
The aim of the programme is to support senior cycle history students as the complete their mandatory Research Study Report by connecting them with the important archives held at the James Hardiman Library at NUIG.

During a campus visits students take a tour of the archives and get to engage with the documents held there as researchers.

Partiapting students engage in a series of workshops targeted at developing the following critical 21st Century Skills:

  • Collaboration
  • Critical analysis
  • Narrative expression
  • Technological proficiency
