Open Access PC Suites are accessible to all registered University staff and students alike. There are 23 Suites equating to 685 PCs which are available at various locations through out the campus, All machines are owned and managed by the ISS Department.
These computer Suites are bookable by faculty staff and the conference office for the purpose of teaching and although all open access suites have similar commonly used software applications, each individual suite has a unique software profile search,

Departmental PC Suites are ’owned’ by individual faculties and managed on their behalf by the ISS Department, thus they are accessible only by faculty registered staff and students.
There are 46 Departmental Suites equating to 685 PCs and are available at various locations throughout the campus.
Note these Suites are not bookable through the ISS department only through the relevant Department each suite having a unique software profile.

Monochrome and Colour printing are available wirelessly and from within the PC Suites. It is a chargeable system whereby credits are purchased and costs deducted from a student’s individual or Departmental account ie depending on the agreed model.
Top up print credits are available online or from a Kiosk
ISS control the bookings for Open access PC Suites. In order to book a Suite you will need to check on line the size, software profile and availability before submitting the online submission form
Bookings are generally conducted by Departmental staff, The Conference offices, The Students union, and the Examinations Office.
Electronic Exam are conducted in Open Access Computer Suites with the Examinations office assuming overall responsibility. All enquiries should be directed to the Examinations office who will in turn co ordinate your request with the relevant sections within ISS.
