By Car: 

By Air:  As a major tourist attraction, there are many well-developed transport options available.  There are two airports in the western region and Dublin airport is approximately 2 hours from Galway;

• Knock International Airport ( http://www.knockairport.com/ ) approximately 1.2 hours drive from Galway City.
• Shannon International Airport ( http://www.shannonairport.com/ ) approximately 1 hours drive from Galway city.
• Dublin Airport ( http://www.dublinairport.com/ ), located two hours from Galway City, provides more international flight options. 
• Galway is currently accessible by bus and taxi from Dublin International Airport, Shannon International Airport and Knock International Airport.
  

By Ferry: There are a number of ferry companies which travel to and from Ireland. http://www.irishferries.ie/
By Train: Trains run every two hours from Heuston Station (Dublin) to Galway.  http://www.irishrail.ie/
