Deferral Procedures

Applicants who have been offered a first-year Undergraduate place in the University may apply for a deferral of entry for one year.

The application must be made in writing via email or post and only in respect of the course in which the offer is made.

Please refer to and follow clearly the procedure here for guidelines on how to apply.

All enquiries regarding deferral should be addressed via email to the Undergraduate Admissions Office admissions

nuigalway.ie . Please include "Deferral" and the course code (e.g. GY101) in the email subject.
