& EU Applicants
Applications for transfers are considered for admission into the 2nd or 3rd year of the courses listed below. For more information please view the regulations governing the relevant course area.

To make a transfer application to NUI Galway, please complete the NUI Galway Transfer Application Form and return to the Admissions Office, NUI Galway by the second Friday in July of the year of entry.

A. New entrants to First Year Fulltime Undergraduate Programmes in the University may, subsequent to registration, apply to transfer to another First Year Fulltime Undergraduate Programmes in the University for which they are eligible. Such transfer requests will only be considered if there are available places on the programme to which the student wishes to transfer. Full details and application form available here. Q. Is it possible to transfer at all to Courses at NUI Galway?
A. Transfer applications are normally considered from students who have completed a course at level 6 or level 7 in an Institute of Technology or completed year one of a degree in another university and wish to transfer to year 2 or 3 of a similar course at NUI Galway.
