What is Springboard?

Springboard is a national initiative which offers free, part-time courses at certificate, degree and postgraduate level, leading to qualifications in areas where there are employment opportunities in Ireland.

Springboard is open to jobseekers who have a previous history of employment and believe that a focused, high-quality qualification is the key to getting back to work.

All programmes lead to qualifications in enterprise sectors which are growing and need skilled personnel, including ICT, technology, manufacturing and financial services. Qualifications are also available in cross-enterprise skills such as innovation, entrepreneurship and skills to trade internationally.

Am I eligible?

To take any of these courses you must satisfy the relevant programme entry criteria and be Springboard eligible. The entry criteria for each of the courses are described on the course information page at the links above.

To be eligible for Springboard you must be unemployed with a previous history of employment and in receipt of payment from the Department of Social Protection. For full details check out the Springboard eligibility criteria.

How do I apply?
