Early Childhood Session - Monday 13th June @ 1pm

In this webinar Dr Sheila Garrity with discuss the new BA Honours (Level 8) Degree in Early Childhood Education and Professional Practice (QAB/Dept. Children approved) that will be available in 2023. This Degree will support existing educators/practitioners, wishing to upskill to a degree through a flexible route.

This webinar gives you an introduction to the range of part-time courses on offer, helps you identify the right course for you and highlights the different pathways and supports available. You will also find out more about skills needs in industry from our guest speaker and hear first-hand from a student who has benefited professionally from her education journey.

Community Education Session - Wednesday 15th June @ 1pm

Dr Helen Casey and Dr Deirdre Hardiman will discuss the suite of part-time Community Education courses available for 2022. Courses include; BA in Community, Youth & Family Studies, Diploma in Youth & Community Development and Certificate in Youth Work Practice. Our training will prepare you to facilitate real change in society and provide you with skills and knowledge to engage with a rapidly changing policy and practice context at national level. Our modules are developed and delivered in conjunction with practitioners to provide high-quality community, family, and youth work expertise to ensure you are equipped to work in a variety of settings (whether private, voluntary, or statutory).

Info Session: Springboard, MicroCreds & RPL - Wednesday 15th June @ 6pm

This webinar gives you information on the Springboard+ Courses available, explains Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and introduces Micro-credentials. University of Galway are developing a suite of Micro-credentials (short, accredited learning experiences) for September 2022.

Language Session - Thursday 16th June @ 1pm

In this webinar, staff from the School of Languages, Literatures and Cultures and Acadamh na hOllscolaíochta Gaeilge, will discuss the Diplomas in French, German, Italian, Irish and Spanish.
