What's new in alumni

Congratulations to Seamus Scanlon BSc 1977, HDip in Ed 1983 who received first prize in the Fish Publishing One-Page Prizes 2011 for his work The Long Wet Grass. This work will be published in the 2011 Fish Anthology which will be launched at the West Cork Literary Festival on Wednesday 6 July.

Seamus is a Librarian and Assistant Professor at the Center for Worker Education Library (The City College of New York).

Seamus was also awarded a prestigous Carnegie Corporation/New York Times for librarianship in December 2009 ( http://www.ilovelibraries.org/lovemylibrarian/09winners.cfm) - just one of ten librarians across the US who were so honoured.
