Professor Jim Browne became the twelfth President of NUI Galway on March 6th, 2008. President Browne has been a regular attendee at alumni events and we look forward to working with him. Best Wishes to Dr Iognáid Ó Muircheartaigh, who has completed his successful tenure as President.
The recent Gala Banquet and Alumni Awards Ceremony was a huge success and show-cased the excellence of our graduates. Please feel free to nominate graduates whom you feel are worthy of an alumni award.
The reunion season is upon us; please mark the dates in your calendar. I hope you will join us to meet your former classmates and renew your connections to your alma mater. I recently had the honour of meeting our oldest graduate Mr Joseph Madden who is pictured above. He graduated in 1932 with a BA degree, at the time when Alexander Anderson, our fifth President was in office.
