Student Send-off

For the past ten years the Alumni Association has facilitated Student Send-off evenings in various locations in Ireland. These events are directed at students who are about to embark on their University education in NUI Galway.

Initially started up by former Alumni Association Board Members, Jimmy and Margaret McGrory in Donegal in 2000, this programme has gone from strength to strength taking place in seven locations in Ireland. It offers an ideal opportunity for both parents and students to get advice on finding one’s way around campus during those first days of term; to find out about the University’s student support services including the Students’ Assistance Fund and the benefits of becoming involved in the University’s many Clubs and Societies.

Graduates, a senior academic staff member and representatives from the Students’ Union are present to advise students on what to expect when arriving at NUI Galway, and to answer any questions relating to University life.

Wednesday, 8th September at 7:00pm	NUI Galway: O’Flaherty Theatre, The Concourse, Arts/Science Building
