Celebrating Multilingualism in Ireland 2016
More information at Conference Website: https://multilingualism2016.wordpress.com/
Insurgents in the GPO on 24 April 1916 were joined by a Swede and a Finn who could speak no English. Then as now, linguistic diversity was part of life in Ireland, even in the most exceptional circumstances. This diversity will be explored in this conference.
Organisers: Dr Rióna Ní Fhrighil (Gaeilge, School of Languages, Literatures and Cultures), Dr Stanislava Antonijevic (Speech and Language Therapy), and Caitlín Nic an Ultaigh (Acadamh na hOllscolaíochta Gaeilge)
Ilteangachas á Cheiliúradh in Éirinn 2016

Bhí Sualannach agus Fionlannach nach raibh aon Bhéarla ar a dtoil acu in éindí le lucht an Éirí Amach in Ard-Oifig an Phoist ar an 24 Aibreán 1916. Mar atá anois ann, bhain éagsúlacht theangeolaíoch le saol na hÉireann, fiú amháin i gcásanna fíoreisceachtúla. Is í an éagsúlacht seo téama na comhdhála seo.
Á Reáchtáil ag: An Dr Rióna Ní Fhrighil (Gaeilge, Scoil na dTeangacha, na Litríochtaí agus na gCultúr), an Dr Stanislava Antonijevic (Teiripe Urlabhra agus Theanga), agus Caitlín Nic an Ultaigh (Acadamh na hOllscolaíochta Gaeilge)
