An Historical Archaeology of South Conamara in the Later Eighteenth and Nineteenth Centuries

The study uses modern world or historical archaeology to investigate the lives and work of tenant farm families and other sectors of the communities in this region during the later eighteenth and nineteenth centuries as well as their interaction with landlords and others in authority. Research will be undertaken as a community-based project within the public archaeology research cluster of the Department of Archaeology and its Rural Communities Project aiming to support present day rural commmunities and their heritage.
