ar348 Directed Studies (option)
Module Summary
|
This course provides students with an opportunity to engage deeply and systematically with a topic in one of the Department staff’s areas of research specialization. Staff members provide directed readings, feedback, and small group discussions in their own areas of research specialization. Each lecturer’s option is self-contained and all options run concurrently (i.e. you can only do one topic with one lecturer). Participating lecturers and topics vary from year to year and students wishing to take this course must consult the appropriate lecturer ahead of time. This course develops the student’s understanding not only of the particular topic being studied, but also introduces students to the practices of research-led enquiry.
