I joined Ciaran Morrison's group in January of 2008 as a PhD student.
I had already worked at the Chromosome Biology Lab as an Erasmus
student in my 4th year final project in the first semester of 2007.
I graduated in Applied Biology at the University of Minho in Portugal
and I was recently awarded a Portuguese FCT fellowship to
undertake my PhD at NUIG. I am interested in centrosome
duplication and consequently in the spindle pole formation and correct
chromosomal segregation.
In my free time I enjoy traveling, practicing sports and searching
interesting subjects in the Internet.
