Whilst students have automatic access to courses they are registered for, NUI Galway staff must request access to courses they are teaching. If you are the only person teaching a module, fill in the form below. Otherwise, check with your colleagues and ask them to add you as a co-instructor to modules that they have previously requested.
Fill in the Blackboard Course Request form below and email to
blackboard
nuigalway.ie to gain access to any modules or courses you are teaching for the current academic session.

It is essential that your Blackboard course use the correct course/module code. If you are unsure of the correct code and title of your course, please verify this. Your course coordinator or faculty office may be able to help. Alternatively, you can use the MIS webform to search the Student Information System (Quercus) to locate any correct course and module codes.
Using the MIS form you can search for your module, under the module code:
Or if you know the course code, you can also search for this entry, and see all of the modules that exist under this overall heading:
However, if your proposed Blackboard site does not correspond with an official course or module code, please contact
blackboard
nuigalway.ie and we will discuss the options.
Note: it will not be possible to enrol students on this type of course, and the course must be relevant to the teaching and learning activities of learners at NUI Galway.
Normally, we can do this within a week. At certain times of year however it may take a little longer.
