Bright Ideas
In November 2010 we invited submissions from all staff in the University to the Bright Ideas Initiative. The purpose of this initiative was to receive ideas which had the potential to positively transform some aspect of the University. A special Innovation Fund was established to support the development and implementation of the best ideas. The response was very positive with a total of 182 submissions. Bright Ideas is led by Prof. Chris Curtin, VP for Innovation and Performance.
Each suggestion was assessed by a panel representing academic, support services and students and four themes were identified as meriting further investigation and support. These themes are now being developed into projects to be funded in 2011/12.
