These services are managed by
Dean Pearce, Facilities Manager (Operations). The Buildings Office employs four area based Facilities Services Supervisors to supervise the work of all NUI Galway Cleaning and Stewarding / Building Attendant staff, together with the work of our cleaning contractors and cleaning specialist services on campus.

General services provided by the staff in this section include:
general cleaning services including removing clean, dry recyclable waste and general domestic waste
setting out of furniture in teaching venues
collection and delivery of brochures from storage facilities
transfer of boxes/equipment/furniture from one location to another
erection of display stands and other exhibition materials
provision of lecterns, stages, etc. as required for events
set up of venues for Examinations, Conferrings, etc
request to recycle University furniture
Note: Minimum of three day's notice is required for general requests

Health & Safety Office have recommended that the set up and breakdown of poster boards and other event related equipment is to be done by the trained Buildings Office staff. Event organisers are advised to ask all participants to refrain from adjusting such equipment.
