Q. How do I report a burning smell?

Q. How do I report an accident?
A. In the case of a serious accident contact the emergency services directly (telephone 999/112), take appropriate action to ensure the safety of victims and that the area is otherwise made safe. As soon as possible after the accident report it (via your Head of Discipline/Section) to NUI Galway Safety Office using the NUI Galway Accident Report Form which is locally available in University Disciplines/Sections and at the web address below. There is also a separate form for first aid incidents. Legislation requires that certain workplace accidents be reported to the Health and Safety Authority by the NUI Galway Safety Office.
