A Services Help Desk is provided by the Buildings Office to deal with maintenance requests. The request management system that we use to help us manage requests is called Pemac.
Service requests may fall under the following headings:
- Mechanical and Electrical Engineering services e.g. heating & plumbing, air conditioning, lift repairs, fume extraction
- Facilities management e.g. furniture & fit-out services, gardening & grounds keeping
- Buildings Engineering e.g. roofing, ceilings, plastering, blockwork, carpentry, tiling, painting/decoration, glazing and ironmongery
How do I log a request?
Requests for services are accepted from the nominated person (Buildings Office Liaison) in each discipline, unit, club, society or campus company (see
list here). The objective is to co-ordinate all requests through one individual.
The Buildings Office Liaison either logs their request directly using the online request management system or by emailing the Services Help Desk . The request is then given a log number and forwarded to the appropriate section for action.
To report a problem, please contact your Buildings Office Liaison (see
list here) detailing:
· All details of the request
· Room number, discipline and building
· Your own contact details
What if it is an emergency?
Emergency or safety requests are accepted from all students, staff and visitors to campus on ext. 2134.
