Bursar's Office
Welcome to the Office of the Bursar
The Bursar of NUI Galway is responsible for the overall Financial Planning and Financial Management of the University and related matters. The Bursar, Mary Dooley (FCA, MBA), is the Chief Financial Advisor to the President, the Governing Authority and its Finance Resource Committee. She is a member of the University Management Team.
Mary Dooley, was appointed Bursar of the National University of Ireland, Galway in late 1993. She previously held senior management positions in the Professional Services, Hotel, Entertainment, Technology, Pharmaceutical and Health sectors.
She has been a committee member and chair of both public and private enterprises including commercial, cultural and charitable organisations. Mary is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, and is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin. She has worked with a large number of organisations including Ryan Hotels, Warner Communications, Bristol Myers, St. James' Hospital, Galway University Foundation, Institute of Chartered Accountants, Marine Institute, Galway Chamber of Commerce, Atalia Student Residences, Galway City Council, Health Services Executive and Galway Music Centre.
