NUI Galway - University of Limerick Strategic Alliance benefits MBA students

Wednesday, 1 February 2012

Students on the Executive MBA programmes at NUI Galway and at the University of Limerick benefit from the recently announced strategic alliance between the two universities. MBA students will have the option of choosing summer electives in Year One of the programme either at NUI Galway or at the University of Limerick. This alliance provides students with greater choice in their elective subjects and more flexibility to tailor the programme to their particular needs. The alliance also allows for expanded networking opportunities with other MBA students. This year, students are taking two electives from the following list of those on offer in UL and at NUI Galway: Business Negotiations, International Management, Technology Management and Strategic Sales Management.

“Having made the decision to study an MBA programme, I set about deciding which MBA programme would be best and which programme was best suited to meet my needs. The NUI Galway Executive MBA scored highest on both counts. It has long been an ambition of mine to study in the US so the International Study Visit to Fordham University in New York was excellent and a great learning experience.  The course content is quite varied and addresses many contemporary business issues. Coupled with that, the opportunity to apply the theory in real time through the applied consultancy project in Second Year is something I am really looking forward to. And, while I am only just completing the last semester, my only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner!”

“I selected the NUIG Executive MBA program because it offered me the opportunity to continue with my career and embark on my MBA education at the same time. This provided me the opportunity to apply the learning in my organization almost simultaneously. The program also offers access to a network of MBA students, alumni, faculty, and business leaders both local and international. Overall it has been a very positive experience”
