Biography

                                                                      
Josephine lectures in the field of Strategic Management and Global Business at NUI Galway. Josephine completed her degrees at University College Dublin, Smurfit Graduate School of Business, and at the University of Warwick (UK).

Josephine has held the position of MSc Academic Programme Director of MSc International Management, and MSc Strategy, Innovation and People Management.  She was previously External Examiner at Sligo Institute of Technology and Waterford Institute of Technology.  She is currently External Examiner at North-West University, South Africa.   Josephine currently serves as National Representative for European International Business Academy (EIBA)                                    

Josephine's research interests revolve around innovation and capability development within multinational organisations, particularly high-technology multinationals, and also female entrepreneurship policy. She has won a best paper award in International Business at British Academy of Management. Her PhD student has won a best paper award at Irish Academy of Management (2020) and also been awarded a Postgraduate Government of Ireland scholarship by the Irish Research Council (2020).

Josephine teaches Global Business, International Business, Strategic Management and Research Methods at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

  1. The evolutionary role of subsidiaries.
  2. Parent-Subsidiary Relationships
  3. The networked multinational, in particular, the technological learning/sharing process in the MNE networks.
  4. Gender, high growth firms and entrepreneurship policy
