Capture Your Campus: terms & conditions
Rules & Regulations
The Capture Your Campus Photo Submission Site is open to all NUI Galway students, faculty, retired staff, and alumni. NEW: July 2014—members of the public ("Friends of NUI Galway") are welcome to upload photos also.
Complete and submit the online registration form at www.nuigalway.ie/captureyourcampus . Contestants must supply all details required by the registration form and comply with all rules to be eligible to participate in the competition. Photos must be current (i.e., taken recently or within the last five years).

All photos must be submitted electronically (for quality purposes they should be minimum file-size 2MB, up to a maximum 7MB); hard-copy entries will not be accepted. Photos may be accompanied by a caption.
Subject matter can include landscapes that showcase the beauty of campus, as well as people and/or student activities at NUI Galway. When photographing people, photographers must ensure the subjects have consented to their picture being taken. Sample Model Release Form here (you can consider printing this and having people in your photos sign it). Photos may originate in any format—including, but not limited to digital files, digital prints, color transparencies, color prints, or black and white prints—so long as they are submitted electronically. Collages will not be accepted.
Violence, profanity, and/or attacks on individuals or organizations may not be depicted in the design in any form, in imagery or language. Entries must not contain material that promotes intolerance, racism, hatred or harm against any group, individual or organization or promote discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age.
NUI Galway reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify and delete any entry it deems to be offensive, inappropriate, derogatory and libelous, or not in keeping with the competition theme or that is otherwise not in compliance with the official contest rules.
By submitting your photo/s you grant NUI Galway the right to:
- Use the photograph on the Internet in support of our mission.
- Use the photograph in NUI Galway publications, both print and online.
- Display the photograph in exhibits.
- Keep the files provided, and to archive the images on CD or in other electronic forms, so that your photos can be used to support our mission and be properly credited.
