Staff - Work with Employers

The Career Development Centre assists with marketing NUI Galway students and graduates to employers.

We directly contact more than 500 employers each year. Contact with employers includes:

• Giving advice on recruitment issues and good practice.
• Facilitating graduate recruitment by advertising vacancies, setting up presentations and interviews, Job Search Seminars, Careers Education, and organising Recruitment Fairs.

Some academic staff take the opportunity to develop their own contacts through our events, e.g:

• By attending on-campus presentations or fairs.
• Attending joint visits to employers or inviting Careers staff to employer-related events on campus

Should employers contact you to arrange presentations or interviews in your Department, it's a wise precaution to let us know to avoid date clashes, and we're happy to advertise any vacancies (work or postgraduate) which come your way.

We welcome news from you about new courses, changes to courses or their structure, so we can advise employers accordingly.
