Make the most of your time at the Fair by...

• Planning your evening in advance - know what employers are attending. Do your research and be well informed. 
  
  
• Asking for the names of the company reps you speak to. This will help when you phone the company for more information, and may well give you added credibility as a reference point in a covering letter or at interviews.
  
  
• Networking with Employers - bring along up-to-date copies of your CV, even tailor your CV to companies you are really interested in - but don't expect to be hired on the spot.
  
  
• Dressing appropiately - comfortable, but smart. Don't forget first impressions last.
  
  
• Targeting the companies you are really intersted in first! Then look at the other employers in attendance - don't dismiss an employer at first glance as many graduate recruiters employ students from all disciplines. 
  
  
• Asking questions - It shows an interest in what the employer has to offer but also that's why the reps are there.
  
  
• Holding onto the information leaflet for future reference. You may need it for contact information. 
  
  
• Checking for materials that may have been left by the exhibitors. May come in useful if called for an interview.
  
  
• Visiting the  CV Clinic at the event & get your CV reviewed by NUI Galway Alumni.
  
  
• Not getting  distracted by freebies - don't forget why you are there... securing your first graduate job!
