Biography
Elaine Keane is a research assistant at the Centre for Disability Law
and Policy. She joined the Centre in 2012, and works primarily on
topical and emerging research projects that the Centre is involved with.
Elaine is involved with many of the conferences held by the Centre, she was specifically involved in the running of the 4th International Disability Summer School.
She is currently involved with research projects encompassing constitutional law and is often involved in memo writing, where research is done on a topical subject and a memo is drawn up, detailing the background of the subject and next steps. she is also involved with the Irish Disabilities Studies Association and the Disability Legal Information Clinic run by the Centre.
Elaine holds a Bachelor of Civil Law (2010) and a Masters in Public Law from
NUI Galway (2011). She also completed the Diploma sa
Ghaeilge do lucht an Dlí in 2009.
Elaine tutored Land Law in the Law Faculty in NUIG for two years, finishing in Semester 2 of 2012. Elaine was part of the Making Your Decisions projected, headed by Dr. Mary Keys, Shivaun Quinlivan and Edel Tierny.
