Thesis

Implementing Article 19 of the UN Convention on the Rights of Disabled Persons in Ireland– the right to independent living and inclusion in community. The work will focus on the legal, policy and social changes which are needed to ensure that Ireland can implement Article 19, particularly in relation to people with more significant levels of intellectual disability/multiple disability The research will include detailed research with practitioners, families, advocates and people with disability, internationally and in Ireland.
