Law Society Irish Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points

A certificate will be provided to each participant acknowledging the number of hours that they participated in the conference. It will then fall on the participant to apply themselves for CPD points.

It must be noted that The Law Society’s CPD Scheme guidelines specifically stipulate that the Society does not accredit any particular course provider, nor does the Society accredit any particular course and Section 10 thereof provides that ‘the onus is on a solicitor to exercise his/her own reasonable judgment in relation to the quality of education/training and what education/training is relevant to his/her particular practice.’

Bar Council of Ireland

A certificate will be issued to attendees noting the title of the event, the organiser and the hours thus qualifying them for CPD points if the criteria for such points is met.

The activity must be:

• Of significant intellectual or practical content and must deal primarily with matters related to the practice of law;
• Conducted by persons or bodies that have suitable qualifications;
• Relevant to a practitioner’s immediate or long term needs in relation to the practitioner’s professional development.
