Parallel Session (A)
Facilitator: Nuala McGuinn
Chair: Sinead Hahessy
This session will look at the practical issues surrounding the development of a blended learning programme. It will address key approaches to planning such as building the development team, identifying appropriate learning models for programme delivery, documentation to be compiled in support of the development process, budgeting, collaboration and the student experience. The above will be discussed in the context of current programme development at NUI Galway and the experience of local practitioners in this field.
Workshop participants will be encouraged to share their experiences of programme development and to focus on key actions which will enable them and their department to move towards a blended/online learning model for select programmes.
