There are two parallel webcast systems in operation in NUI Galway:

The Campus Webcast Service
(Internal access only)
This service provides high quality streamed video and audio materials to desktops across the institution. However, these are not available externally (due to copyright regulations). -
The Public Webcast Service
This service is used to "broadcast" special events, providing both live streams and "video-on-demand." The Public Webcast Service is used by the CKI project, for example, to host a variety of seminars and presentations on issues relevant to community-university links.
Links to the webcast server(s) can easily be embedded within Blackboard and copies of all materials and links are stored in our Intralibrary(TM) digital repository system.
