Profile

Leo Keohane did his PhD on Anarchism as an alternative perspective in political philosophy and as a kind of mentalité in Irish culture and history. His thesis focussed on Captain Jack White DSO, one of the few self professed anarchists in Ireland of any significance.

He is currently completing a biography of Jack White and his research centres around European outlooks that survived outside the affect of Graeco-Roman influences. His current interests are: 1) a re-examination of James Connolly’s political thinking and 2) phenomena of Irish small town culture.
