AngelaSavage is a founder member of the Galway Glycobiology Research Centre andorganised Eurocarb X, the 10th European Carbohydrate Symposium, in Galway inJuly 1999.

She has a wonderfuldaughter, Li Lu Tara, born September 1998 in Wuhan, China, and adopted inJanuary 2000.
