The Kitchen Chemistry crew had a fantastic day at the Galway Science & Technology Festival exhibition. Our 5 shows were booked out well in advance but we tried to get as many extra people in as possible. We hope that everyone who wanted to see the show, managed to get in. We had well over 500 visitors through our doors and we hope everyone enjoyed it as much as we did.
If anyone would like a copy of the booklet of experiments we were giving out, it is available here.
Details of our competition winner are available here.
We will have photos of the day up here and on our facebook page very soon.

The School of Chemistry in association with Kitchen Chemistry welcomed 32 students from the Summer Science Experience program. The students got a hands on look at chemistry. The learned how reusable hand warmers work and make some of their own. They had the chance to look at Luminol in action and were treated to some exciting demonstrations including Storm in a Teacup and the Gummy bear explosion.
A fun day was had by all involved and we hope to see some of the students back doing Science in the coming years.
