Accomplishments

• Supervised to completion 13 PhDs (2004-2010)
• Gained 1.2 million euro (approx) in external research funding as PI
• Up to June 2011, (co)author of 53 refereed research publications (45 independent at NUI Galway)

Research Interests

• Heterocyclic Chemistry (particularly synthesis and mechanism)
• Radical Polymerizations (particularly nitroxide-mediated controlled/living and use of supercritical CO2)
• Medicinal Chemistry (particularly drug design and cancer research)
