Fawaz Aldabbagh: research interests
Drug Discovery
Synthesis and anti-cancer activity of novel small organic heterocyclic molecules (incl. benzimidazolequinones).
Past synthetic methods used include radical cyclizations, 1,3-dipolar cycloadditions and photochemistry.
Selected heterocycles have shown high specificity towards Fanconi anemia, breast, cervical and prostate cancer.
