More than half the School’s research students are engaged in synthesis as part of their research. This includes natural products synthesis, heterocycles, controlled polymer synthesis, asymmetric synthesis, photochemistry, inorganic materials, carbohydrate synthesis, biomolecular synthesis, pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical synthesis.
