Research interests: Human Resource Management, Knowledge Management, Organisational Learning, Organisational Social Capital and Social Networks
Angelos Alexopoulos is a postdoctoral research fellow at the LInK Research Centre. He holds a BA in European Economic Studies from Athens University of Economics and Business, an MSc in Human Resource Management from Cardiff University, and a PhD in Organisational Behaviour from DCU. His doctoral studies were co-funded by DCU and the Centre for Innovation and Structural Change (CISC) at the National University of Ireland, Galway under the PRTLI III project on high-performance work systems in Ireland. His dissertation examined the role of social relations and people management practices in knowledge flows within high-performing organisations. Angelos is currently involved in a PRTLI IV funded project examining knowledge transfer and sharing in university research centres as part of the programme of the Irish Social Sciences Platform (ISSP) on knowledge economy and society. His research interests lie in the area of knowledge management and organisational learning with a particular emphasis on the role of trust, social capital, and HRM. Angelos is a member of the Academy of Management, the Irish Academy of Management, the European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management, the First International Network on Trust, the International Network for Social Network Analysis, and the Management and Organisation Development Network.
