Personal profile

Eugene joined CISC in 2008 as a recipient of an IRCHSS PhD Scholarship into employee information and consultatation systems having worked in people management and production roles for Irish and Multinational companies in Ireland.He is part of a team from CISC and Queens University Belfast that is conducting all island research into the impact of EU Directive on Employee Information & Consultation in the employment systems of the two jurisdictions on the island of Ireland. He previously holds a BA(Hons)in History from University of Ulster and completed an MA in Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management with Keele University in 2006. His Masters thesis examined the Parliamentary Bill to implement the EU Directive on Employee Information & Consultation in the Republic of Ireland.

Research Interests

Employment relations systems, organisational performance and employee participation/involvement methods.
