Maria Alejandra Gonzalez-Perez

Research interests: Globalisation, Corporate Social Responsibility, International Labour Migration, and Global Value Chains.
Dr. Maria-Alejandra Gonzalez-Perez is Associate Professor of International Business at EAFIT University in Colombia. She completed her PhD in NUI Galway, analysing the role Corporate Social Responsibility in ameliorating the negative consequences of globalisation in the banana industry under the supervision of Prof. Terrence McDonough. She then conducted PostDoctoral research in the area of civic engagement in higher education. Dr. Gonzalez-Perez’s first degree is in Psychology, and she was trained as a Clinical Psychologist in Colombia. She has also completed a Master of Business Studies in Industrial Relations and Human Resources. Dr. Gonzalez-Perez has presented her research results in four continents.
