Patricia Browne
2001-2002 UCD - MSocSc Masters in Social Science (Social Policy)
1998-2001 UCD - BSocSc (Social Policy [Specialist courses chosen in HRM and Business Administration] & Information Studies)
Patricia joined the Centre for Innovation and Structural Change in September 2008 and her research area is Human Resource Management. Her current research degree is looking specifically at HRM policies and practices in the health sector. Her previous research experience involved working on a project looking at the services provided to children with life threatening illness at the Institute for the Study of Social Change at UCD. She also worked on gathering the views of parents on their children’s play habits in the Play and Technology Project at the Centre for Social and Educational Research DIT. Her other work experience to date includes working in the voluntary sector as an Information Officer and part-time tutoring and lecturing within the university sector.
2002-2004 : UCD Geary Institute (formally ISSC-Institute of the Study of Social Change) A Research project under the auspices of the Department of Health and Children, the Irish Hospice Foundation and the faculty of Paediatrics, Royal College of Physicians of Ireland in conjunction with the Dept of Social Policy/Social Work UCD –“A Needs Analysis of Children’s Palliative Care Services in Ireland” Dept of Health and Children Publication.
