Dr Tony Dundon, School of Business and Economics and Institute for Business Social Science and Public Policy, NUI Galway
| SAC Room / Room 110, Cairnes Building (Ground Floor, St. Anthony's), NUI Galway | 1.00pm :: 18th October 2012 |
The seminar will present and discuss how both employers and the nation state have influenced the content and transposition of European regulations for worker voice. It will be argued that the processes of regulation occupied by employers embed a neo-voluntarist dynamic to employment regulation which marginalises worker interests and serves the aims of capital. The research will advance the theory of ‘regulatory space’ in comparative national contexts.
This is the first lunchtime seminar of the newly formed Work Society and Governance cluster at the Institute for Business Social Science and Public Policy, NUI Galway.
All Welcome!
