MG329 Contemporary Issues in Business Policy and Management
Final Year B.Comm
This course will contribute to students’ understanding of the
contextual factors that influence enterprise strategy, options and
decision-making. Topics will be selected considering the political,
economic, social and technological factors that are currently affecting
the enterprise environment and the strategic choices facing business
managers, employees and other enterprise stakeholders. The course
objectives are to increase student awareness on topics of current and
future concern to Irish and international business and to demonstrate
how knowledge is advanced and insights are gained through academic
research and debate. Learning outcomes will be: raised awareness of the
quickly changing, complex business environment; appreciation of the use
of argument to define issues and to assist in analysis; and ability to
access information resources.
