Postgraduate Studies in Italian

Italian Studies at NUI Galway is an ambitious, dynamic discipline. Our academics have won European awards for creativity and innovation in language teaching, and achieved international reputation for their cutting-edge research. We offer an intellectually engaging and productive research environment with several Ph.D. and MA students working on topics ranging from cinema studies, children’s literature, language acquisition and contemporary Italian culture and society. Our postgraduate students work individually and in teams, and organize research days and cultural and social events, enhancing the profile and visibility of Italy and Italian culture in Galway.
