In 2018, Modern Languages at the University of Galway was ranked in the first 250 in the world by QS World University Ranking, and in an Internal Research Review Italian has been ranked the highest research area in the School of Languages, Literature and Cultures with 38% of publications considered of “World Class”, and 38% of “International Excellence”.
