‌Galway Doctoral Scholarship Scheme 2019/20

The College of Arts, Social Sciences, and Celtic Studies offers postgraduate scholarships to support full-time PhD research within the Structured PhD programmes of the College.

The College of Arts, Social Sciences, and Celtic Studies (CASSCS) at NUI Galway is pleased to offer  postgraduate scholarships to support full-time PhD research within the Structured PhD programmes of the CASSCS commencing in September 2019.    

Scholarships will be awarded in line with the strategic research priorities of the 6 Schools of the College, namely: Education; Geography and Archaeology; Humanities; Languages, Literatures and Cultures; Political Science and Sociology; Psychology.

‌Scholarships may thus be awarded across any of the following associated disciplines: EducationGeographyArchaeologyCreative WritingDramaEnglishFilm and Digital MediaHistoryIrish StudiesJournalismMusicOld and Middle IrishPhilosophyCeltic CivilisationChildren's StudiesClassicsFrenchGaeilgeGermanItalianSpanishPolitical Science and SociologyGlobal Women’s StudiesPsychology.

Supervisor's Reference Form 2019-20

Supervisor to submit by email before closing date Applicant completes sections 1 and 2. Proposed Supervisor completes sections 3, 4 and 5. The proposed Supervisor then emails the form to artsscholars@nuigalway.ie.

Academic Reference Form 2019-20

Academic Referee to submit by email before closing date Applicant completes sections 1 and 2.  Academic Referee completes sections 3 and 4. The Academic Referee then emails the form to artsscholars@nuigalway.ie.
