Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI)

The School of Psychology is committed the promotion of equality of opportunity and to creating and sustaining an environment that values and celebrates the diversity of our staff and student body. The principle of equality of opportunity is enshrined in the core values of NUI Galway as articulated in the University’s strategic plan and in legislation in the Public Sector Duty (Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission Act 2014). The School works closely with the Vice-Dean of Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and People in the College of Arts, Social Sciences, and Celtic Studies and the Office of the Vice-President of Equality and Diversity at NUI Galway. Our current Director of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in the School is Gerry Molloy (2021-2024).
