J.E. Cairnes School of Business & Economics

The J.E. Cairnes School of Business & Economics welcomes students from Ireland and overseas who have an interest in studying and exploring the fundamentals and dynamics of business. The School of Business & Economics is located in the Cairnes Building on the banks of the river Corrib.

We offer a number of undergraduate degrees which are amongst the most-highly rated in Ireland. Our undergraduate degrees provide students with a foundation in the key business disciplines. Students also have the opportunity to develop a more in-depth knowledge of one specialist area of business. Our new Bachelor of Commerce Accounting Programme commenced in September 2008.

Graduates from the School of Business & Economics are well equipped to undertake a wide variety of postgraduate programmes and to embark on many interesting and varied careers in management, accountancy, marketing, in the financial sector and, also, in public service. Amongst the postgraduate programmes on offer are the Executive MBA and Master of Accounting programmes.
