Autumn Conferring 2022
- Thursday 25th - Monday 29th August 2022
- Postgraduate Research and Taught, Undergraduate students who were eligible to be conferred as of official exams results release date for their course
Schedule & Ceremony times:
- Each student will be issued with 1 graduand ticket and 2 guests tickets
- Unfortunately it is not possible to facilitate any requests for extra tickets for any ceremonies
- All children will be considered as a guest
- The conferring ceremony will be livestreamed
- Bailey Allen Hall, Áras na Macléinn
- Refreshments will be served afterwards
Fees & Exams
All students must satisfy the academic requirements of their programme as per Marks and Standards and they must pay all outstanding programme fees by the stated deadline. There is no charge for attending conferring.
COURSE FEES DEADLINE for Autumn Conferring: TBC
POSTGRADUATE RESEARCH DEADLINE: 27th June 2022- All steps of the thesis submission process must be completed by this date. Please see process for submitting thesis on Examinations page for information.
Graduands may pre-book their robes by visiting www.phelanconan.com to use their on-line booking service and select ‘Graduate gown hire’ to book your gown. If you need assistance regarding your online booking you can email Phelan Conan directly at email@example.com.
To celebrate your virtual Graduation, The Lane Studio Galway, will be open to Photograph the Graduates & their families before, during & after the ceremonies at their City centre studio to record their achievement. Name on Degree Parchment
The name on your parchment is the name you supplied the university with when applying for your course. Please ensure your name is correct for the issue of parchments (this includes accents, apostrophes, etc) - check your Registration Statement and / or Transcript of Results to confirm.
Posting of Degree Parchment
All parchments for graduates conferred In Absentia are posted to Home Addresses within 2 weeks of each respective ceremony. Please ensure your home address is up to date. This can be updated by clicking on the link below for the Student Registry Helpdesk: http://www.nuigalway.ie/student-registry-helpdesk/our-services/name-address/
Deferrals (PhD only)
Deferral of Conferring: MD and PhD graduands only may request to defer their graduation once to the next session only. Email email@example.com with your request to defer no later than 2 weeks before your conferring date.
